Hawzah News Agency- Speaking on the anniversary of the kidnapping of the Imam of Resistance, Sayyed Musa Sadr, along with his two companions — Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub and journalist Abbas Badreddine — Sheikh al-Baghdadi declared: "On this occasion, we must renew our pledge to Imam Musa Sadr and reaffirm our commitment to the path he established — the path of resistance against occupation, confrontation with corruption, and the fight against deprivation."
"These titles, despite their multiplicity, converge under a single banner: justice — the very justice that is absent among officials and the majority of those entrusted with public affairs," he added.
The Hezbollah official acknowledged the profound losses suffered by the resistance axis, stating: "Hope remains steadfast despite the indescribable pain and irreparable loss — the loss of the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the martyred Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and the martyr of the Ummah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, along with their senior and valiant commanders."
"What consoles us is that we are an Ummah accustomed to losing leaders and offering martyrs. Within this Ummah there remains abundant good, and there are commanders capable of bearing responsibility — those who have endured the most ferocious wars and emerged victorious," he said.
Addressing the legacy of Imam Musa Sadr, Sheikh al-Baghdadi declared: "What I wish to say on this occasion, O great Sayyed, is that we remain true to the covenant upon which you left us. We remain committed to the option of resistance, to confronting the corruption of power, and to fighting deprivation, each according to his capacity. We also remain committed to the option of Muslim unity, rapprochement among Islamic schools of thought, and national unity."
He continued: "You, O revered Sayyed, called upon all sincere people to adhere to Muslim unity. You proposed comprehensive frameworks to unite the Ummah — from unifying the day of Eid and standing together at Arafat, to embracing the Palestinian cause as a unifying issue for the entire Ummah."
The senior Hezbollah member stressed: "The Ummah must rise for the liberation of Palestine, for this is not solely a Palestinian issue, nor is it the issue of a particular sect or community. It is the issue of the entire Ummah in all its segments. In the Zionist project, Palestine is not merely an occupied land, but rather a base and passageway for a broader project that threatens the entire Arab world, within the framework of what is called 'Greater Israel.' This became more evident after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm — an operation the occupiers used as a pretext to begin implementing this expansionist project."
Sheikh al-Baghdadi also addressed Imam Musa Sadr directly, saying: "You emphasized the beauty of Lebanon's sectarian diversity and plurality, believing that the problem lay not in the multiplicity of sects and confessions, but rather in corrupt officials who transform this diversity into a tool for division and exploitation. Therefore, on this anniversary, we renew our pledge and affirm that we will not deviate from these principles. We will remain committed to these causes, no matter how many martyrs we offer and no matter how deep our wounds grow."
He concluded: "We will remain patient, entrust our reward to God, and continue on this path, with the firm belief that God does not waste the reward of the patient and will grant us victory over our enemies."
